Senior Minister of First Christian Church
He came to the church in August of 2015 from his last pastorate in Hermitage, Pennsylvania. Dr. Moore earned his BA at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida, his Master of Divinity degree at Brite Divinity school – Texas Christian University, Ft. Worth, Texas, and his Phd. In Religion from Christian Bible College, Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Dr. Moore has served churches in Oklahoma, Texas, California, Maryland and Pennsylvania. Rev. Dr. Moore also served at one time as Executive Director of Big Brothers and Sisters of Crawford County, Inc. Dr. Moore has previously served on the Regional Boards of the Christian Church in the Capital Area and the Christian Church in Pennsylvania, where he also served as Treasurer and Moderator of the Christian Church. Additionally, Rev. Moore served as Vice-President and President of the Christian Associates of the Shenango Valley.
Rev. Moore is married to Naomi Uy-Moore, a teacher in the Wentzville School District. They are the parents of four children, and have three grandchildren. One of Rev. Moore’s hobbies is collecting classic cars.
Associate Pastor of Youth and Families
Rev. Andrea Asselmeier is our Associate Pastor. She received her Bachelors in Biology from the University of Missouri-Rolla and her Masters of Divinity from Eden Theological Seminary. Pastor Andrea joined the ministry at First Christian Church in July of 2012. She enjoys being a part of the FCC family and loves working with the youth and young adults here.
Director of First Step Preschool
She has worked in the education field for more than 30 years, most recently working at the Central office of the Troy – R3 School District, helping develop the new Early Childhood Education Center in Troy, which included the hiring of all staff, developing curriculum, and implementing educational standards for a pre-k population. Mrs. Busekrus holds a BS degree and was an elementary teacher for four years. She holdsa Masters degree in Special Education and taught for many years. While working on certification as an early childhood special education instructor, she served as Director of Children’s services for the Community Opportunities Preschool for nearly 5 years, before returning to the public school classroom at Troy R-3. She also holds certification as a School Psychological Examiner, and served in that capacity for ten years.
