First Step Preschool, a mission of First Christian Church, has a rich history of serving preschool and school age children in the community. It is open from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. providing a safe learning environment for all enrolled children.

Preschool
Skill development for the preschool age child has become the cornerstone for the school year. The Missouri Early Learning Standards are incorporated throughout the curriculum for children 3 years through pre-k.
Horizon Club
Horizon Club is our program for children who are in kindergarten through 5th grade. We offer both a before and after school program as well as a summer program for these children.
SUMMER CAMP
The Preschool summer camp children will explore different weekly/bi-weekly themes. The children will learn about and explore each theme through arts and crafts, math, science, and literacy activities. The preschool summer camp children will also participate in water play, special theme days, many visitors as well as pool and park day field trips.
The school aged “HORIZON” summer camp children will explore a summer theme which will focus on a different area of that theme each week. The children will participate in activities such as cooking, games, sports, STEM, art, geocaching, water play and more. The summer camp children will also participate in water play, special themes days, many visitors as well as pool day and “other” field trips.
All summer camp children will also participate in the First Christian Church Vacation Bible School.
